About the position

Our client is developing smart battery solutions. As their technologies are very unique in the industry (100% silicon film deposited) the success of their story significantly depends on thorough understanding of material properties of silicon Anode. Also, teaming up with their battery specialists is essential to design the best performing products for specific applications so that their technology can serve the world as broad as possible.

As an Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for optimizing the existing R&D and production machines by maintaining, or modifying automation hardware as well as making modification of software. Besides this, you will be involved in the development, design and construction for the next generation production machines. Your primary location will be Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

You will be working on

Automation and upgrades of the production tools;
Implementation of I4.0 platform;
Specification and development of next generation production equipment;
Support prototyping and proof of principle investigations through your automation expertise.

Job requirements

You have at least a technical Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Automation or similar field;
You have min 4+ years’ experience as an Automation engineer, developing automated equipment by implementing/developing automation hardware and software;
You have profound knowledge of industrial automation on all levels (PLC’s to MES);
You are an experienced user and programmer of automation hardware (at least from Siemens and Rockwell Automation);
You have knowledge of necessary programming languages and protocols;
You have a pragmatic approach and think in solutions;
You are a team-worker with a strong drive to make the best machine.

About our client

Our client is making a step change within battery technology domain. With their patented technology, they are able to increase the energy density of batteries by as much as 50%!

At the moment they have two offices in the Netherlands which exist of 80 smart engineers and technicians. To ramp up their production capacity, they have recently opened a pilot production line in Eindhoven and expanding their team together with On Time Engineers!
