About the position

The current software team is involved (within the R&D department) with software for charging points. They control the charging process and also the automatically distribute power between charging points. This way it is possible to monitor it remotely.

Because of your specialization, drive and solution orientation you are the one who likes to take responsibility within development projects. Typical issues you will encounter include: optimizing energy storage, linking charging points to energy storage systems and being able to manage and control our systems remotely. These issues require innovative solutions. You work within multidisciplinary project teams and you can switch well thanks to your strong communication skills.

 

What does our client offer you technically?

For enthusiasts, some more technical details. Our client has various projects where a C/C++ application runs on a light-weight OS (FreeRTOS, MbedOS). The STM32/ARM microprocessors also work on their own hardware. They are also developing C++/Python applications on (embedded) Linux using their own Yocto build.

They often develop in Eclipse or Visual Studio Code and use Git (Bitbucket) as a version control system where code is always reviewed by team members. As a Scrum team, they use Jira for their tickets. They mainly design and document in Confluence.

They also maintain a mobile app (React Native) and a Windows application (C#) with which their charging stations can be set and various tools (C#) that are used during assembly and testing of their charging stations.

 

Job requirements

You are passionate about your profession and know how to add value to the team with your personality and knowledge. In addition, you know how to communicate naturally at various levels within the organization. For this position we are searching for an independent, ambitious engineer/developer with a no-nonsense mentality. You can also recognize yourself in the following profile:

You have a completed and relevant Bachelor or Master’s degree in Technical Informatics, Embedded Software Engineering or similar direction;
You have at least 3 to 25 years of experience in developing embedded software in C and/or C++;
Knowledge of Python, C#, Git, Linux, FreeRTOS, MbedOS, STM32 / ARM is a big advantage;
English-speaking candidates are welcome to apply when they already living in the Netherlands;
You are precise, creative, communicative and enterprising.
