About the position

As a Field Support Engineer you are the ambassador within the organization. You ensure that the end customers can flawlessly make use of the products. When issues arise, you will quickly and efficiently solve those. You also improve the product by giving the right feedback to your engineering colleagues.

In addition, you find it important to continuously monitor customer needs and you work together with the sales team to improve product offering and features. This is a new role, and we trust you to set up the required systems for efficiently helping their customers and measure performance over time, using objective KPI’s.


Your responsibilities

Solving customer issues quickly by achieving certain average resolution time;
Developing requirements for a diagnostic layer for the products to allow and find the cause of issues within 1 day;
Achieve a good customer service satisfaction;
Set up a system for efficiently solving customer issues;
Establish the right metrics that can be measured on a continuous basis.

You are a hands-on service minded person with a strong interest in technical things with ability to work structurally and carefully. You are constantly looking for ways to improve the end customer experience and you know how to explain complex situations in a clear and customer-oriented way. You know how to build trusty and long-term relationships with end customers.
Despite being on the road a lot, you are a true team player with an open attitude, a positive mind-set and a high level of personal responsibility. You thrive in a global and fast-changing environment where your ability to prioritize-and reprioritize–come to its full use.


Job requirements

Ability to quickly put customers at ease and communicate clear, concise and frequently;
Great analytical skills to apply logic and quickly come to the heart of the problem;
Ability to zoom in and out to identify patterns across issues and come up with systematic solutions to prevent them from happening in the future;
Some knowledge of IoT and a few years of experience in a Service/Support role in High-tech;
Willingness to travel, approx. 50%;
MBO4 or Bachelor degree in Electronics, Mechatronics or Physics;
Driver licence.
