IT Manager

On Time Engineers is searching for an IT Manager for our client located in Eindhoven. About the position

We are searching for an experienced IT Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for all areas of Information Technology. You will provide support on all functions within the information technology function. Of course, you may rely on service providers for more detailed information/expertise on complex or unusual issues. You will also manage a team and develop members’ competencies through training, coaching, communication and performance management.

 

Your responsibilities

Manage information technology and computer systems

Develop and implement policies and procedures for computer systems operations and development;
Meet with managers to discuss systems, requirements, specifications, costs and timelines;
Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures;
Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time;
Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources and services.

 

Ensure IT systems are accessible and equipped with current hardware and software

Research and evaluate emerging technologies, hardware and software;
Prepare cost benefits analysis reports when upgrades are necessary, continuously analyzing vendors to ensure they offer the best possible service and value for company needs;
Manage and troubleshoot all issues concerning hardware, software and network operating system (provide technical support when needed);
Handle business critical IT tasks and systems administration;
Train employees on both software and hardware;
Provide network access to all staff;
Install work stations;
Connect and set up hardware;
Load all required software;
Provide network accounts and passwords as required.

 

Monitor, maintain and protect IT infrastructure to ensure maximum access

Protect IT infrastructure via preventive actions, information and measures;
Develop and execute disaster procedures and maintain data backups;
Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems;
Audit systems and assess their outcomes;
Advise staff of security breach and/or change in password or security status;

 

Manage Suppliers

Manage the Request for Quotations and offers selection;
Lead regular negotiations and agree on Service Level Agreements;
Monitor suppliers and eliminate business risks.

 

Manage the team

Determine the required competences and skills in the teams and match to development needs in order to realize the technology and product roadmaps. Build the teams matching these competences and skills;
Develop team members’ competencies through training, coaching, feedback and performance management;
Ensure good skills and practices are being acquired, deployed and improved;
Develop standards and procedures to ensure that quality standards are met and consistent;
Enhance team spirit and motivate employees to participate in team activities;
Ensure annual appraisals and check in meetings with each employee and plan required and adapted trainings. Execute all regular HR campaigns for the team.

 

Job requirements

To be successful in this role you bring a degree in Information Technology or a comparable technical study;
Linux Administrator / Engineer or similar certification;
At least 5+ years’ work experience;
Microsoft Enterprise Administrator or similar Microsoft Certification in Office 365 and Azure;
Team player;
Analytical and problem solving skills;
Continuous strive for improvement;
Open minded, high integrity, positively critical followed by a cooperative attitude;
Fluent in English (Dutch is nice to have).
