About the position

As an Operational Excellence engineer your task is to coach and support teams, Team Leads and Managers on building and maintaining an Operations Excellence, including lean, structure and systems. You are directly and indirectly involved with the content of improvement projects, where you facilitate and offer a professional and structural guidance. To do this you will often be on the shopfloor guiding teams and Team Leads on operational excellence topics like team board structures & maturity, 5S, Waste & Variation reduction, eliminating “Non-Value added” activities, Standardize work, Value stream mapping, Kaizen & Continuous Improvement projects and DMAIC.
The Operational Excellence Engineer reports to the Production Manager.

Your activities will include;

You support teams and Team Leads in their development to Autonomous steering teams in line with the shopfloor vision;
You promote the continues improvement philosophy to employees on all layers of the organization;
You document progression on Operational Excellence activities and report to the COO and Management Team on regular basis;
You develop and improve the Lean Six Sigma and Change management knowledge by setting standards, training, coaching and leading by example.

Job requirements

Minimum 4+ years of experience within an operational production environment;
Experience in training and coaching of lean (preferably Black belt);
Experience in the semiconductor or automotive is nice to have;
Fluent in the Dutch and English language;
Bachelor level of education within a technical or organizational field.
