About the position

As an Operations Manager Logistics, you have an important position in the organizations’ supply chain. You are responsible for the expedient arrangement of internal Logistics, Loading and Unloading, Export documentation and Stock Management. The responsibility expands until the just in time (JIT) and complete delivery of goods on the production floor.

In this role you will manage around 70 employees, from the departments Logistics, Transport and Planning. The focus area is the Netherlands (2x Eindhoven, 1x Eindhoven area) but you are also responsible for the right delivery to clients and Intercompany locations all over the world.

Your tasks as Operational Manager Logistics are, among other things:

You will focus on structuring and streamlining the logistic processes in which you will direct to shortening delivery times, delivery reliability (OTIF) and correctness of data;
You will significantly contribute to the analysis of the stock levels and stock mutations to come to an optimal stock policy versus delivery reliability, costs and operational efficiency;
You will contribute to an optimal capacity utilization;
Analyze existing and defining new KPI’s;
Initiate and coordinate the continuous improvement processes;
Professionalize and optimize all logistic processes so that delivery reliability can be brought to and maintained at an excellent level;
Coordinate occurring escalations;
Ensuring a good reporting- and information structure;
Prepare business cases for investments.

 

Job requirements

Bachelor degree working- and thinking level (Logistics / Business Administration or comparable);
5-10 years’ experience in a similar role (in a production environment is a strong pro);
You have strong technical insight;
Knowledge of production-, optimalisation processes;
Knowledge of production- and analysis techniques;
Lean, 5S, and Kanban are toolboxes you worked with and can implement in the right way;
Knowledge of ERP systems;
Ability to speak and write good in the Dutch and English language.
