About the position

Our client is developing battery solution. As our clients technologies are unique in the industry, the success of their story significantly depends on thorough understanding of material properties of silicon Anode. Also teaming up with battery specialists, is essential to design the best performing products for specific applications so that their technology can serve the world in as broad fields as possible.

As a System Architect in this company, you will be a center point of development of an innovative plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) equipment. You will work as a part of their equipment design team and will closely interact with system engineers, fellow system architect, software engineers, scientists, mechanical designers, production staff, but also engineering partners. You will be working in a dynamic scale-up environment as part of an international, ambitious and diverse team that is determined to make a better world with cleaner energy. You will be based at their office in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

 

You will be responsible for

Development of a novel PECVD equipment as a System Architect;
Translating stakeholder’s wishes into design specifications and requirements;
Defining architecture of the equipment and ensuring the architectural solution meets functional and design specifications;
Keeping the architectural overview, managing sub-systems interactions;
Keeping all necessary documentation in place and up to date;
Working on equipment improvements and upgrades from the architecture point of view.

 

Furthermore, you will assist with

Ensuring high quality of engineering and design work;
Improvement of internal engineering processes and workflows;
Reviewing and challenging system architecture of other internal products.

 

About you

You hold a Master or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics or a similar field;
8+ years of experience in high-tech product development;
3+ years of working experience as a system architect (preferably with vacuum systems);
Experience with leading people and managing suppliers;
Proficiency in a 3D CAD is preferred;
Innovative mindset, analytical skills and solution oriented;
Reputation of somebody who can make things happen.

 

Furthermore you are

Punctual, quality focused, self-propelling and decisive;
Not easy overwhelmed by complexity and able to navigate through design risks and uncertainties;
An efficient communicator in English, and preferably in Dutch;
You understand that working in a scale-up means working in an environment where many things happen and where plans change;
You have a high level of integrity and ethics;
You find it easy to listen and talk to people and bring a smile to work.

About our client

Our client is making a step change within battery technology domain. With their patented technology, they are able to increase the energy density of batteries by as much as 50%!

At the moment they have two offices in the Netherlands which exist of 25 smart engineers and technicians. To ramp up their production capacity, they have recently opened a pilot production line in Eindhoven and expanding their team together with On Time Engineers!
