About the position

Our client is a leading packaging solutions provider specialized in the design and manufacturing of advanced packaging solutions for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. We are searching for a talented Technical Buyer to join our client’s global team.

We are seeking a detail-oriented procurement professional with a technical background to support engineering and manufacturing operations. Based in Eindhoven office, this role is integral to ensure the efficient and accurate entry of technical data into our clients’ ERP system as well as supporting data management, process coordination, supplier qualification activities, and sourcing strategies. In this position you will work closely with the global procurement team and hold close collaboration with Packaging Engineering Manager.

This position is ideal for candidates with a strong attention to detail, familiarity with technical environments and procurement operations, and an interest in manufacturing or engineering support functions.

Your key responsibilities

ERP Data Entry & Maintenance: create and maintain part numbers, pricing, MRP and technical data. Ensure all entries comply with internal standards and support traceability and quality assurance. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records to support manufacturing and sourcing activities across global operations.
Pre-emptively set up large data sets to streamline creation manufacturing BoMs and thereby improve time to market.
Negotiate pricing updates with suppliers and update ERP accordingly.

Translating Technical Data into Sourcing Activities: ability to understand technical drawings and translate information into product requirements. Taking those product requirements to market for competitive quotes and proposing sourcing strategies that optimize quality, cost, lead time, and inventory.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: liaise with engineering, sourcing and quality departments to collect and verify data needed for ERP entry. Communicate effectively with global teams to ensure alignment of ways of working in ERP.

Process Improvement & Compliance: support efforts to standardize and improve data entry processes and mass data uploads. Contribute to quality control and data clean up initiatives by ensuring consistency and accuracy of part data. Identify opportunities to improve supplier base and quality while achieving cost expectation targets.

Your profile and skills

MBO-4 or bachelor’s degree in an administrative, technical, engineering-related field, supply chain, or procurement;
Experience working with ERP systems (e.g., Sage, SAP, Oracle, Isah) preferred;
Familiarity with engineering or manufacturing environments is a plus;
Good command of English (written and verbal); Dutch is a plus.

Strong understanding of materials and components relevant to packaging, including plywood, lumber, corrugated, foam, plastics, aluminum, stainless-steel and fasteners;
Strong working knowledge if inventory planning and forecasting techniques;
Ability to provide commodity price guidance and market intelligence to leadership team;
Effective communication skills and team-oriented attitude;
Ability to present business cases that support strategy proposals;
Strategically develop regional supply chains while maintaining optimal inventory levels, securing supply agreements with key suppliers, ensuring on-time customer deliveries, and delivering year-over-year cost improvements.

Our client offers

DIRECT contract with our client;
8% holiday allowance and 30 vacation days per year;
Maximum salary of € 4.250 gross per month, excluding holiday allowance (negotiable);
